NEW YORK CITY (June 5, 2013) - EIA, Inc., a national leader in networked technologies is pleased to announce Mr. Shelomo Alfassa has joined their corporate team to coordinate their Marketing and Communications department.
Mr. Alfassa had been involved in public relations and communications for many years, specifically focusing on the emergency management and public safety sector where he has worked in various capacities. Mr. Alfassa will be helping to expand EIA's marketing, communications and social media reach, and will be responsible for establishing and implementing strategic and tactical communications plans designed to build corporate awareness and to present EIA to both the public and potentially interested stakeholders who are within the electronic security and networked systems fields.
In the past, Mr. Alfassa was a sworn member of the U.S. Public Health Service, Office of Emergency Preparedness and was Founding Executive Officer and Deputy Commander of a deployable national counter-terrorism response team. Today, he continues to serve his country, as a Public Affairs Officer in New York City for the US Department of Homeland Security, USCG Auxiliary. He has many certifications, including being a Facilities Security Officer (FSO)--a specialist in the administration of a port or facility that ensures compliance with Sensitive Security Information (SSI), as per the US Code of Federal Regulations. Mr. Alfassa is an author, researcher and avid lover of world history and has had several books on non-fiction topics published. He is also a Member of the International Association of Emergency Managers.
